This demonstration shows how light travels by different speeds through different media which causes the angle of its trajectory to change.
Comments/Notes:It is very important to never go above 12 VDC in this demonstration, as the lightbulb cannot handle more.
- Equipment
- Whiteboard
- Blackboard optics set
- Glass rectangle from the set
- How to assemble and operate
- 1. Connect the blackboard optics set to power supply to up to 12V DC, make sure it never goes above 12V
- 2. Point a light ray onto the glass rectangle in a way that visibly shows the bending of the light as it travels through the glass
