With this demonstration we can show the behavior of convex and concave lenses in optics
Comments/Notes:It is very important to never go above 12 VDC in this demonstration, as the lightbulb cannot handle more.
- Equipment
- Whiteboard
- Blackboard optics set
- Convex and concave lens from the set
- How to assemble and operate
- 1. Connect the blackboard optics set to power supply to up to 12V DC, make sure it never goes above 12V
- 2. Point a light rays onto the convex or concave lens and observe how they bend depending on which part of the lens they hit
- 3. Try putting both of the lenses together and then shining the light rays on them and explain the result
