This experiment demonstrates how a flowing current through a wire generates a magnetic field by putting a needle next to it.

- Stand and clamps

- Compass/needle
- How to assemble and operate
- 1. Put the wire on the stand and claps.
- 2. Connect the ends of the wire to a DC power source.
- 3. Put a needle/compass below the wire.
- 4. Raise the current and observe how the needle changes directions.
- 5. Try different positions of the needle.
