This demonstration illustrates centrifugal force acting on a candle flame.
- Equipment
- Motor and power supply
- Bar with counterweight
- Candle in pot
- How to assemble and operate
- 1. Clamp the motor to the table and connect to the power supply
- 2. Light the candle and place in the pot
- 3. SRotate the candle using the motor
- 4. Observe the flame pointing radially towards the centre
