This demonstration illustrates the deformation of a surface under rotation to equalise pressure.
- Equipment
- Acceleration tank filled with water
- Pasco Rotating Platform Base
- How to assemble and operate
- 1. Place the tank onto the platform
- 2. Fill the tank with water (and optionally food colouring)
- 3. Rotate the tank until the surface becomes a parabola
